I just ordered them. Ow my wallet. :( My G35 should do much better once they're installed.
I also discovered that whoever put the new all-season tires (not mentioning brand) on from the dealer... ran the same tire width on all 4 corners. WTF. The rears should be 245 width, but they're the same size as the front (225). Fffffuuuuuu.

You will appreciate that cost though. Plus now you have 2 sets, so wear isn't all year round on either set.
I even had cheapy winters and did great in some deep snow in the FoST.

That sucks they did 225 all around. Did putting 225 on the rear cause your traction control to keep going off?

I imagine his wheels were still different sizes so it might of not effected it to much. However 3.5 Z's and G's did sometimes have T/C and even more so, VSC issues running a square set up at times. Glad mine doesn't have either of those options on it ;)

A little late, no? Winter is almost over.

Nope, but it does seem a little extra skiddish.
Today (my first full day of ownership) was extra bad because we received about an inch of sleet and snow right before the commute home. At times, I was doing 300 ft wheelies just trying to accelerate through the slop.
Luckily, traction for stopping was good enough and predictable.

I just purchased it. Plus, winter turns into "off and on" around these parts till the end of April.

You managed to get a 4,000lb. car to lift the front wheels off the ground in bad traction conditions? It must have a helluva tune on it.

I take it you have a coupe, any way, VDC needs about a half inch taller tire in the rear to maintain its wheel speed calculations. Two ways of going about this, run a wider rear tire as compared to the front while maintaining aspect ratio, or run the same width front and rear with a higher aspect in the rear, I chose the latter, running Michelin X-Ice Xi3' in 225/50/17 up front and 225/55/17's in rear, works well for me.

I've not noticed any "confused" VSC activation yet... but regardless, Ive got new 18" wheels with 225/45 front and 245/45 rear sottozero 3 tires on order. Tirerack made it all so easy.
I'll be sure to deal with the rears on the all-seasons later towards spring-summer. I know these cars burn up the rear tires with camber wear and with general hoonery, but I do eventually want the proper size (245/40/19).
Sad part is I knew in the back of my mind something was off about the fitment of the rear tires when I first saw the vehicle.

Looking at your other posts...Liquid Platinum on an '06 6MT Coupe with the 19" wheels. Just like mine when I bought it...
Related to this post: I run the same size all around in the winter. Lets me have winter tires that last longer. I'm not exactly trying to win speed or handling runs in winter.

We were at one point. I swapped the 19s for a set of 17" aftermarket wheels, and then the 19s were stolen. At the moment I will admit mine is a bit worse for wear. I have big plans for it that involve mostly deconstructing it at some point to fix everything and do major modifications.
